Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients:
125 ml soft margarine
125 ml brown sugar
65 ml white sugar
2 ml vanilla
1 egg beaten
275 ml baking soda
2 ml salt
250 ml chocolate chips
Optional: 125 ml chopped nuts
Method:
Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C)
In a large bowl, cream margarine, both sugars and vanilla until light and fluffy with an electric mixer.
Break egg into a separate bowl and beat well. Add to sugar mixture.
In another bowl, sift flour. Remeasure to 275 ml. Put extra flour back into flour container
Sift in baking soda and salt to flour. Add the creamed mixture. Stir.
Add chocolate chips and mix.
Bake for 8 minutes or until cookies are golden brown.
Drop dough by rounded tea spoonsful onto greased cookie sheets.
When finished, let them cool down for 10 minutes.
